About Counseling

Therapy is a collaborative, intimate experience that requires trust and care to reach the goals of the individual or family. I believe in working with my clients, their families and other professionals as necessary to create an individualized treatment plan that works for their specific needs. This includes looking at the whole individual or family and not just treating a specific diagnosis or identified patient. Instead, looking wholistically at family and personal history, behaviors, activities, relationships, strengths, weaknesses their story and as guideposts to help my clients reach the goals they identify for themselves.

About Consulting & Supervision

Since becoming a partner at Crossroads Psychological Associates in 2017 I have helped guide the group to growth through many obstacles including a pandemic, instituting an EMR and moving toward a hybrid work environment. While others in the industry have moved to corporatize in order to navigate these challenges, Crossroads has remained independent providing the individualized and collaborative environment our patients and clients have come to expect over 40 years.

I would love to help your practice, regardless of size navigate its hurdles and can provide help with administrative consulting, vision casting and clinical supervision.

Feel free to contact me to see if my services might be a good fit for your practice needs.

About Matt

I am a state licensed professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. I received my Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Baltimore in 2009, and have been practicing in private practice since 2010.

When not at work I spend most of my time with my family: My wonderful wife and our four amazing children. Being a dad and stepdad is the best part of my week. As a family we love the beach, visiting national parks, and music. I am a proud, life-long resident of Maryland, and enjoy cheering on our Terps, Orioles and Ravens. Additionally, I am involved in our local church community and enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, video games, woodworking and running with friends.
