Hey folks, It’s Sunday afternoon and the family and I are enjoying our first full day at home together. Mia and Mommy are upstairs sleeping and taking care of each other, and I’m downstairs with the other kids watching basketball and playing. It’s a nice, fun, chill day. I just thought I’d check in to …

Jenny and I would like to introduce you all to Mia Elizabeth Otto. She was born yesterday (a St. Patrick’s Day baby) at 9:33 AM, and weighed in at 7lbs 13 oz. Mommy and baby are both doing great. Jenny is recovering much better this time than the last two. Zach, Cayla and Emma are …

Just FYI since I’ve made such a big deal out of this around here lately (and rightfully so): You may have noticed that the countdown timer for our Baby’s birth changed. We couldn’t schedule the c-section for the day we wanted, so it’s been rescheduled for March 17th.

We passed the one month mark in our countdown to Mia this past week. I can’t believe she is almost here.

That’s the question that went largely unasked as I talked to family and friends over the weekend, but was present in most conversations about the baby. The answer is yes, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. Here’s the distinction that is really important in my head though: I’m disappointed I’m not going to have …

The doctor should have seen the sonogram yesterday, and since he didn’t contact us we’re assuming that means she’s healthy and everything is …

At two o’clock today Jenny will be coming home and we’ll be leaving the kids with her wondeful father while Jenny and I go to the radiologist to have a sonogram, see the baby and find out the gender. I’m really nervous. Every time I’ve thought about it this week I’ve gotten a little tightness …

This was supposed to be the week that Jenny and I started to get our lives back together. Jenny’s finally starting to feel well enough to watch Cayla on her own, so we were supposed to start getting back on a normal schedule three weeks after Emma’s delivery. Unfortunately, God had other plans. Monday afternoon …

Emma & Mommy are both doing fine. Emma is absolutely beautiful and I feel so blessed to have another wonderful girl in my life. I’ll try to get pictures up tomorrow. Cayla was a little frazzled by not being at home or with us for the last few days, but her Grandparents did a great …
