This blog entry makes the number posted in the month of May a nice even 20. I believe this is what they call on web forums “post whoring”.
I was going through the archives and realized that the last time I made 20 or more posts in a month was September of 2005. I can’t believe I used to write 20 to 30 posts a month regularly. Of course, that was before Cayla started walking and talking, and long before Emma.
Here’s a glimpse of what I was writing about then:
Adam and I were writing a co-op series on “What the Bleep do we know” - Adam and I talked offline about this being the first of many co-op pieces. Over a year and a half later it’s still our only co-op piece…even though we live and work closer than ever before. Maybe we need to change that.
I was reminiscing on a year being out of full-time ministry - I still miss my students from Salisbury
I was trying to figure out this whole Baptist polity thing - I’m still trying
I got my PSP for my birthday – this was just a week or so before the drastic drop in blogging…coincidence?
It was also fun to take that trip down memory lane and see how my posts have changed. I used to write more generically about Christianity and the Church, now I write more about specific aspects of the faith. Makes sense. Back then we were just starting to dream up this church plant thing. Ideas of what Church is were first and foremost on my mind. Now, my role has specialized somewhat, and my posts are reflective of that. It will be interesting to see what happens to this blog as my role in the church continues to morph and grow.
